Coding
To ensure that all relevant assigned coding tasks, and requests are accurately coded, all
coding clarification and review requests are addressed and dealt with in a timely fashion at
all times and on an ongoing basis. This includes:
Reviewing and vetting SOAP Notes (E&M, CPT, HCPCS, Modifier and ICD-10)
Assigning relevant codes to Operative Reports and SOAP Notes (E&M, CPT, HCPCS,
Modifier and ICD-10)
Guiding staff around coding and denial issues
Achieving complete coding accuracy
Doing necessary ongoing research to stay current with all relevant industry, medical specialty and regulatory coding issues
Keeping all certifications and association memberships current and valid
Administration
Attend and participate in all relevant team meetings as requested.
Ensure that effective interdepartmental communication is adhered to at all times.
Adhere to all relevant departmental, company, and compliance policies and procedures at
all times.

*Competence is defined as using “effectiveness and efficiency” in equal measure at all times.
Professional Development
To attend all relevant skill building workshops as requested.
To stay current with all relevant skills, subjects and materials as it applies to the overall
function.

formalized by your manager.
